Update: Title-ExplanationBecause some people asked me about the meaning of the title I decided to write it down. For me, the meaning of the title is not only one thing - it's more the interaction of "be centered on one thing for example on a human you know", a thought which is always in your mind, being lonely(like that tree, which stands there so lonely on that hill) or alternatively some dark thoughts and feelings(the dark sky stands for that). Perhaps there is also a little bit hope or something to believe in.
So perhaps that's it - I tried to desribe it. 2560x1600px Widescreen: [link]Technical Information:

As for the vision rating (Does the artwork present or reflect a point of view, theme or idea?
), I don't see anything catching my attention...
The HDR is nicely done, i.e. it is not obvious that this is an HDRi, so gratz on that, this is how it's meant to be. The colors are well put together and create a great atmosphere. However I think there is a real lack of contrast in the tree: it's the center of attention but there are no details, in contrary to the sky and grass. Again, the composition doesn't help with puting the tree on focus: it's too far away, and drown in the sea of details around it. The picture would almost have been better without this "dark spot" on the center! Hence no full mark.
Impact: the atmosphere and technique really help to make this picture a catchy image, maybe a good wallpaper, but it doesn't appear to me as a full piece of art. I don't feel anything special when I see it.
I know I'm harsh but praise is no help, and I'm as harsh to myself. Keep up the good work!
This is one of those few who in my eyes stands out, have some sort of originality and strenght.
What gives here I think is the balance between color and B&W. The split view devided by the horizon and tree centered somewhat keeps this together.
Light, colors and contrast is all nicely composed/processed. It's a solid shot by a scene these days hard to capture in a way that stands out even the slightest.
A photo well taken, good job!
